Bridgnorth Regatta Success
On Saturday, the Boat Club travelled to Bridgnorth Regatta – a fun, sprint, round-robin style event. With a huge 14 crews entered it was going to be a busy day for the club. The day started brilliantly with the J14 and WJ15 quads putting down strong and successful races against their opposition. The J14 boys beat several opponents and brought home the first set of winners' pots of the day!
The J15 boys had two quads in the running and had some great side-by-side racing, but ultimately did not make top position. The club had four single scullers entered – Charlie representing the J18s, Ben and Max for the J15s and Harry racing for the J14s. All raced strongly and well done to Charlie, Max, and Harry for bringing home another three wins!
A collection of doubles from the J15 girls and Harry and Jayke from the J14 boys raced the course and performed well against their opponents. Our J14 girls split their usual quad crew into two doubles, and both battled it out down the course brilliantly against the other crews. But there can only be one winner and the last win of the day went to Kitty and Delilah!
Well done to everyone who raced – a great and highly successful day! Good luck next weekend at the last race of the year, Reading Amateur Regatta!
