National Schools’ Regatta
The Boat Club competed at the National Schools’ Regatta at the weekend – a three-day event held at Dorney Lake. With six crews entered across a variety of boats and ages it was sure to be a great weekend. Friday saw our J14 squad and J15 girls racing down the course. The J14 boys completed a great time trial placing them into a final where they secured third place – good job boys! After a strong and exciting start from the J14 girls an unpredictable equipment failure meant the girls had to retire from racing for the day.
Our J15 boys competed on Saturday and while in a very competitive category managed to pull out a solid first place finish in their final! Our J18 sculler Charlie W battled two days of racing and after securing a place in the repechage and into a semifinal, he performed excellently against some tough competition. Well done to the J18 pair consisting of Bertie and Will who also gave us some strong racing on Sunday.
Well done to all who competed and thank you to all the parents and family that came to support!
